Solid English Beech Derby Stick Handle Blank

Solid English Beech Derby Stick Handle Blank

£12.00

Beech is a European hardwood known for its strong, smooth, and durable properties. It's often used for furniture, flooring, and kitchenware, and is also suitable for tool handles and sports equipment. Beech wood is easy to work with, making it popular for woodworking projects. All wood used is UK sourced and UK grown.

All wood kiln, air dried or recycled. I cut a few blanks at a time. I look for grain and interesting patina.

Product Description
A crafted handle blank made from natural wood enabling the buyer to finish. Each handle is finished 'over sized' to allow for waste material to be removed and attach to a shank up to an inch and a quarter in thickness.

How to use
Simple tools and a bit of work will soon have your handle ready to fit to a suitable shank.

I recommend and use a traditional peg and socket joint. I do not recommend or use threaded rods. Wood is a natural material and should be allowed to move and flex. Using a threaded rod does not allow natural movement of the wood therefore is liable to cause breakout.
